Faculty staff members actively develop and disseminate knowledge through research, innovation or professional practice, and are professionally accredited as teachers.

We provide a world-class internationally attractive academic environment and valuable test-bed for future leaders and contributors in and beyond our disciplines, and engage in active local-to-global creative, cultural, digital and collaborative partnerships.

The Faculty operates efficiently to increase the resilience of our business, protect our financial and intellectual sustainability, and enable maximum investment in facilities, equipment, digital technologies, and staff expertise.

The Faculty is made up of 4 different schools, these are -

  • School of Architecture
  • School of Art & Design
  • School of Media & Performing Arts
  • School of Creative Technologies

The Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries is committed to improving the employability of our students. We aim to help undergraduate students gain valuable work experience relevant to their degrees and offer a sandwich placement year option on the majority of our undergraduate courses.  In addition many of our courses provide opportunities to gain professional accreditation.

Students can complement their academic studies with a wide range of opportunities such as:

  • Sandwich year placements
  • Self-employed placement years
  • Summer internships
  • Short-term work experience
  • Freelancing (short-term client projects/briefs)
  • Volunteering
  • Relevant part-time work
  • Work and study abroad

The Creative Careers Office provides a comprehensive service to both students and employers, including coordinating the advertising and recruitment for placement and internship positions
