Alternative Dispute Resolution
A second-class honours degree or equivalent professional experience and/or qualifications. English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 6.5 with no component score below 6.0. English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 6.5 with no component score below 6.0.
You can undertake the course over one year full time or three years part time. You will be able to choose from a range of specialist options and be able to select from a dissertation, work-based learning project or professional practitioner project. Core units: Legal Approach to Business (core if you do not already hold a Law degree or equivalent qualification/experience); ADR Theory and Practice. You will be guided in your choice of options to achieve your personal learning goals. Currently these options include: International Commercial Arbitration; Negotiation Theory and Practice; Commercial and Consumer Law; Employment Law; Employment Dispute Resolution; Expert Witnessing and Dispute Resolution.
Teaching and Assessment:
The course offers a balanced structure of lectures and seminars together with practical exercises such as simulations and case studies. Teaching is in small groups providing an informal, friendly and supportive atmosphere.
