Technology (Distance Learning)
Students have the opportunity to focus their research interests, with the freedom to investigate how the boundaries of technology can be further expanded. The course is taught within the Faculty of Technology, which has gained national and international recognition for its research into cosmology, artificial intelligence, health care and computing, engineering, and mathematics. Students undertake a large research project of their choosing which will match the research profile of one of the following Schools in Computing, Engineering, Maths, Civil Engineering and Surveying, or Cosmology and Gravitation.
An upper 2nd or 1st Class Honours degree or equivalent in a relevant subject. English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 6.5 with no component score below 6.0.
Areas of research include: Computational intelligence; biomechanics; mobile health; networking and security or systems; healthcare modelling and informatics; cosmic structures formation; galaxy dynamics and surveys; composite structures; renewable energy and sustainability.
