Secondary Education (Science with Biology)
The science method programme has 2 major aims: to make sense of teaching, to provide a framework to understand teaching and to support professional development and to develop skills and expertise in teaching through explicit links between practice in well-established partner schools and theoretical approaches; all students have to be capable of teaching all science in the 11-16 age range; a science method tutor in the University and a science mentor in school share responsibility for training and assessment of each student; the programme works through a series of interactive seminars.
Degree in an appropriate subject; GCSE minimum grade C or equivalent in mathematics, English language and science; interview.
