The course is designed as a preparation for students intending to go on to PhD research in the field of German Studies. The course offers great flexibility of choice with a range of options covering not only literature, but also history, cinema and women�s and cultural studies.
A 2.1 Honours degree (or equivalent from a university outside the UK), in a relevant field. This should be combined with a good understanding of the target language.
Modules include: Research methods; discourse analysis; training in research skills; dissertation.
