The course is designed to help you develop an understanding of practices and procedures of modern diplomacy, and to develop a systematic understanding of international affairs. The core module focuses on diplomatic methodology, practice and law, and on diplomatic mediation, international organisations that are staffed by diplomats and other civilian officials, public diplomacy and instruments of soft power.
Applicants are required to have a 2.1 degree or above (or equivalent from a university outside the UK).
Modules include: Ontemporary diplomacy; international relations; origins and causes of wars; conflict and conflict resolution; conflict in the Middle East.
