International Relations (Strategic Studies)

This programme explores the theory and the historical and present practice of strategy. It provides an understanding of modern warfare and how military force can be used in pursuit of policy objectives.

Entry requirements

Students should have a 2.1 degree or above (or equivalent from a university outside the UK). Applicants whose 1st language is not English should have an IELTS score of 6.5.

Course modules

Modern strategy; strategic theory; practice of strategy in history; dissertation; plus options.

Assessment methods

Dissertation.
