Legal History

This course draws on the academic networks and events facilitated and organised by the Forum for Legal and Historical Research at Reading. With its emphasis upon independent research the course is particularly suited to those considering legal practice, or who wish to pursue a PhD in history, law or related areas.

Entry requirements

Students should have a 2.1 degree or above (or equivalent from a university outside the UK). Applicants whose 1st language is not English should have an IELTS score of 6.5.

Course modules

Modules include: archival internship; research dissertation; research seminar presentation; history and the management of an archive; sourcing the past.

Assessment methods

Dissertation.
