University of Reading
In ever more competitive global markets, organisations that depend solely upon re-investing profits and loan finance will be condemned to slow growth. Our academic staff use a variety of teaching methods including: lectures and seminars, case studies, entrepreneurship and business scenarios, with distinguished visiting speakers and entrepreneurs. The Entrepreneurship Project is a live case study, where students undertake a consultancy intervention with local firms. You will also work with leading academics and industry experts in the Henley Centre for Entrepreneurship and the ICMA Centre. You will develop entrepreneurial skills to take effective financing decisions within entrepreneurial firms or start-up ventures. **Careers** This master's programme is designed for graduates keen to pursue entrepreneurial careers, whether through their own start-up or through leadership roles in entrepreneurial firms. Graduates will also be equipped to work internationally in a general or trainee management role in any sector for organisations ranging from small and medium sized enterprises to multinational firms. **Modules** - Advances in entrepreneurship theory and practice - Financing for entrepreneurship - Strategic planning and budgeting - Entrepreneurship and small business management - Specialist modules from the ICMA Centre at Henley Business School, such as "Venture capital"
MSc: Normally a good first or second class honours degree (or equivalent from a university outside the UK), though professional experience will be taken into account.
