Investment Management

This course is designed for those who wish to enter investment management, including the areas of hedge funds, private equity, pension funds or insurance fund management. It provides a theoretical knowledge of portfolio management and quantitative finance, together with applied knowledge of industry structure and trends.

Entry requirements

Students should have a 2.1 degree or above (or equivalent from a university outside the UK). Applicants whose 1st language is not English should have an IELTS score of 6.5.

Course modules

Foreign exchange and money markets; research project; fixed income cash and derivative markets; bond market pricing and trading strategies; corporate finance; commodity derivatives; essentials of financial engineering; stock index futures; topics in financial regulation; liquidity risk and algorithmic trading; advanced finance theory with empirical applications; behavioural finance.
