Rural Land and Business Management

This course aims to prepare students for careers in the rural property and business industries. Study explores the economic, technological, legal and social concepts and principles that underlie the practice of management in the countryside.

Entry requirements

UK students must possess a good 1st degree, either in a cognate subject (such as agriculture; agricultural business management; agricultural economics; rural resource science; environmental management; geography), or a non-cognate degree and some evidence of relevant work experience and interest. EU and international applicants must demonstrate an upper quartile performance from an internationally recognised University. Students whose 1st language is not English should have an IELTS score of 7.0 overall with no component less than 6.0 or internet based TOEFL score of at least 100 with a minimum of 20 in listening, writing and reading and 21 in speaking.

Course modules

Modules include: introduction to property studies; management case studies in rural surveying; property and business taxation; rural policy and planning; business management.
