Social Development and Sustainable Livelihoods
This course offers the opportunity to explore the importance of social change and cultural factors in international development,develop understanding of theoretical frameworks for analysing change and strengthen competence in planning, managing and assessing activities that have implications for household and community livelihoods. The part-time course option is available to UK/EU students only.
You are normally required to have a good undergraduate Honoursdegree (or equivalent from a university outside the UK).
Modules include: perspectives on development; participatory interventions in development; poverty, wealth and inequalities; social policies for development; research and study skills for independent learning.
