Applied International Development

This course surveys the main issues of development, and critically explores the concepts and strategies applied by agencies of change to meet these challenges. It is designed to prepare you both for practical involvement and for further research in international, national or NGO fields of operation.

Entry requirements

Applicants are required to have an undergraduate Honours
degree (or equivalent from a university outside the UK).

Course modules

Modules include: Perspectives on development; poverty, wealth and inequality; social policies for development; gender and development; research and study skills for independent learning.
