Agriculture and Development
This course critically examines the role of agriculture (includinghorticulture) and agricultural research in addressing the majorchallenges and opportunities related to agricultural intensification and environmental sustainability in tropical and sub-tropical regions of the developing world. A flexible course is offered, including a horticulture pathway.
Applicants are required to have an undergraduate Honoursdegree (or equivalent from a university outside the UK).
Modules include: Perspectives on development; agriculture in the tropics or horticulture in the tropics; experimental agriculture or experimental horticulture; rethinking agricultural development; research and study skills for independent study.
