Wildlife Management and Conservation

The objective of the course is to prime students for employment in the competitive wildlife conservation sector. Emphasis is placed on CV development so relevant extracurricular activities are provided and encouraged to help students to hone the skills and qualities desired by employers.

Entry requirements

Good Honours degree in biological; environmental; geographical; or agricultural science or a related subject.

Course modules

Modules include: species and habitat conservation; marine conservation; mammal conservation; geographic information systems; field trips.

Assessment methods

Most hours are spent in the field or in associated laboratory work. Fewer than 50 per cent of the contact hours are spent in a lecture room.
