Research Methods in Psychology

This course is designed to provide training in fundamental analytical and methodological skills which are essential for all psychologists, with access to optional modules on research approaches in a variety of specific fields.

Entry requirements

Entrants are normally required to have obtained an Honours degree in The degree should have included biological psychology as required by the British Psychological Society. Applicants should have gained, or expect to gain, a class mark of 2.1 or above (i.e. 60 per cent international equivalent, e.g. US GPA of 3.0).

Course modules

Modules include: research methods and transferable skills in psychology; methods in cognition; methods in developmental psychology; methods in neuroscience; applying qualitative methods in psychological research.
