This course allows you to develop and enhance your knowledge ofarchaeology through a selection of specialist modules that suit your chronological, geographical and thematic interests. Our taught modules span the lower Palaeolithic to later medieval periods throughout Europe and the Near East, covering theoretical issues such as gender, the life course, material culture, identity, diet, the Crusades, climate change, coastal and maritime exploitation and human bioarchaeology.

Entry requirements

A 1st or high 2nd Class Honours degree or equivalent in Archaeology or other relevant fields.

Course modules

Modules include: Research paper; human bioarchaeology; the medieval landscape; food and culture; material cultures and identities in the Roman empire.
