Applied Meteorology and Climate with Management

This course is aimed at practising meteorologists who are normally sponsored by the World Meteorological Organization or the UK Met Office through their Voluntary Co-operation Programme of international support. Places on the course are therefore limited. The course aims to provide practising meteorologists with updated scientific knowledge and understanding combined with expert training in modern management skills, the latter provided by Henley Business School.

Entry requirements

At least a 2nd Class Honours degree in a mathematical or physical science normally required (or equivalent from a university outside the UK). Degrees in environmental or agricultural sciences or geography may also be acceptable if mathematics and physics have been studied to A level or equivalent.

Course modules

Modules include: Atmospheric physics; forecasting systems and
applications; tropical weather systems; managing people and
organisations; climate change policy and governance.
