This course provides students with an understanding of robotics and its applications. The course is intended for graduates in engineering or a related scientific discipline and it is valuable preparation for a career in research or industry. Students gain an understanding of the fundamentals of robotics, as well as an awareness of the latest developments in the field.
A suitable undergraduate degree (or equivalent from a university outside the UK) in electrical, electronic, mechanical, control engineering, robotics, or any other engineering discipline with an adequate mathematical background. Applications from graduates of Physics and Mathematics are also welcome.
Modules include: manipulator dynamics and haptics; mobile robotics and autonomy; visual intelligence; advanced neural networks; biomechanics.
