The Programme addresses the Secretary of State�s Initial Teacher Training Criteria (TA 2012) and subsequent revisions. Details are provided in selection criteria. Applicants must: hold and be able to provide certificated evidence of having an undergraduate degree conferred by a United Kingdom higher education institution or an equivalent qualification;have achieved at least a grade C or above in both Mathematics and English Language GCSEs (or approved equivalents). Equivalency tests in both Mathematics and English offered by Equivalency Testing are also accepted;have recently observed lessons in a UK secondary school ; have a broad-based educational background and be able to read effectively and communicate clearly in standard spoken and written English; andthe UCAS form requires candidates to provide the details of two referees.
