Historical Research (Social and Cultural History)

The MA in Historical Research gives you the opportunity to study different approaches to the research and writing of history, with a specialised focus on recent and innovative theoretical and methodological developments. You will study with a team of experts covering both the early modern and modern histories of the British Isles, and parts of Europe. Alongside our general pathway, we offer specialised pathways in Social and Cultural History, and a part-time pathway in Archival Practice and Local History via distance learning.

Entry requirements

Applicants are expected to have a degree in history (at least 2nd Class Honours or above) or related humanities/social sciences areas.
