Sport and Exercise Psychology

Sport and Exercise Psychology is a science that draws on knowledge from the disciplines of psychology and sport and exercise science. This taught programme provides students with a critical understanding of the psychological factors that affect, and are affected by, participation in sport and exercise. It was designed and is delivered by BPS chartered psychologists, with the view of preparing students for a career as a consultant, lecturer and/or researcher.

Entry requirements

Normally a 2.1 or higher Bachelor degree in Sport Science/Studies or a related science-based degree. Candidates offering appropriate experiential knowledge and skills may also be considered.
