Roehampton�s MA in Journalism provides industry relevant and specialist journalism training to prepare you for life as a professional journalist. You will learn advanced skills in the practice and analysis of journalism and develop the skills to become a multimedia journalist. You will be based in one of our multimedia newsrooms, which have been designed to give you the experience of working in a fully functioning and fast-paced multimedia environment. Here you will learn how to write different types of stories, design digital content and produce audiovisual journalism. You�ll also have the opportunity to specialisze in magazine and feature writing and complete work experience. This means you get to take what you�ve learnt inside the classroom and apply it in the world of work, build a strong CV and get vital industry contacts.
You are usually expected to hold a good second-class honours degree (or above) from an approved university or college in the UK, or a recognised degree from abroad. Advice on recognition may be obtained from the Admissions Manager. Non-graduates with appropriate professional or other qualifications may be accepted on an individual basis by course conveners. The level of English required is ACADEMIC IELTS at 6.5 overall with no less than 5.5 in any band.
