Human Rights and International Relations

The study of human rights is critical for any understanding of the effects of global terrorism and counter-terrorism campaigns and the profound struggle for democratic freedoms sweeping the world. Roehampton's MA/PGDip in Human Rights and International Relations will help you get to grips with the complexity of change in the global system. The course also gives you the chance to specialise in your own area of interest.

Entry requirements

The University policy will be applied in addition to the following: Criteria i. A demonstration of the ability to study successfully at postgraduate level. This will normally mean at least an upper second class honours degree in any subject or an equivalent, for example, the successful completion of an appropriate post-qualifying professional or access programme.
ii. Graduates for whom English is not the first language must satisfy the University requirement for IELTS currently at 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in all sections. Process i. All applicants who do not fully meet the above requirements will normally be interviewed. ii. Applicants who do not have an upper second class degree but who have other claims for consideration may be admitted if they demonstrate their ability to meet the intellectual demands of the programme. iii.
