Fashion Innovation (Communication)
This course enables students to develop a professional knowledge of visual and other methods of fashion communication, across a range of media. Students can collaborate on projects with other students specialising in a spectrum of arts and media disciplines.
A relevant undergraduate degree at 2.1 or above, and supporting portfolio of practice. Applicants with an undergraduate degree of 2.2 will be considered where a high quality portfolio of practice is presented. We welcome applications from students who may not have formal/traditional entry criteria but who have relevant experience or the ability to pursue the course successfully. Students whose 1st language is not English will require evidence of proficiency in the English language.
Modules include: Fashion thinking and networked culture; fashion innovation and direction; fashion intervention.
Assessment includes self-directed research project, this may be entirely written or practical or a combination of these approaches (75 per cent) and a presentation (25 per cent).
