This programme enables students to develop practical skills with patients from the first semester (in the University in-house clinics) and then on placement within health services in subsequent years. The placements will be in wide variety of specialisms and students will be supervised by experienced and specialist podiatrists.
Applicants require a BSc (hons) 2.2 and above in a health related subject.
Modules include: Foundations of knowledge in practice; advancement of knowledge in practice; core proficiency in clinical practice; clinical assessment and diagnosis; assessment diagnosis and management in clinical practice; advancing professional knowledge and practice; advanced clinical practice.
Assessment includes: theoretical components: assignment 20 per cent, objective structured exam 10 per cent, exam 10 per cent and viva 20 per cent. Practical components: log book/PDP 100 per cent.
