Palliative and End of Life Care
This course is designed to help you to understand the concepts of palliative and end of life care across all fields of practice and disease boundaries. Additionally, you will approach this area from a broad perspective whilst trying to provide an innovative approach to teaching and learning.
Applicants must be qualified health and social care professionals interested in improving their skills and knowledge around palliative and end of life care. Students whose 1st language is not English will need to provide evidence of proficiency in the English language.
Modules include: Death, dying and society; professional practice in palliative and end of life care; principles of ethical practice in end of life care; psychosocial care, exploring concepts of psychological, spiritual and emotional care and the impact of loss.
Assessment is through a single written assignment. This will account for 100 per cent of the total mark for that module.
