Leading Education for Health and Social Care Reform
This course will enable students to learn how to undertake educational leadership roles within a changing health and social care environment. You will base your education and leadership practices on sound research and evidence based practice, lead an education project for the benefit of service improvements, and advance your personal growth.
Applicants will be a health or social care professional with a degree, 2.2 or above, or professional qualification.We welcome applications from students who may not have formal/traditional entry criteria but who have relevant experience or the ability to pursue the course successfully. Students whose 1st language is not English will need to provide evidence of proficiency in the English language.
Modules include: Leading education in practice; leading education in academic practice; enabling change through educational leadership for patient and/or service improvement; project management and methods of inquiry; dissertation.
Assessment methods include: Patchwork text assessment; compilation of an e-portfolio; poster presentation; production of an evidence based business plan relating to an educational change; develop and lead an education focused project.
