Leading Education in Practice
This course will prepare you as an effective leader of health and social care education whilst at the same time providing you with an opportunity to become an NMC Stage 3 Practice Teacher. You will develop your skills, knowledge, qualities and behaviours to become a leader of health and social care education.
A degree, grade 2.2 or above, or professional qualification (if applicable) from the UK or elsewhere. Specific Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) requirements: nurses and midwives must be registered with the NMC and be on the live register of mentors as a sign off mentor. Students whose 1st language is not English will need to provide evidence of proficiency in the English language.
Modules include: Leading education in practice; leadership and preparation for practice teacher (NMC stage 3).
Assessment includes: Poster presentation; practice profile summary; development of a simulated clinical teaching and learning scenario and clinical viva (100 per cent).
