Research supervision is available within the areas of intelligent multimedia information extraction and analysis, document analysis and recognition, data and knowledge engineering, cost-sensitive data mining, inductive logic programming, actionable knowledge discovery and semantic web, virtual prototyping and future workspaces, software engineering for pervasive and smart environments and computer security and digital forensics.

Entry requirements

A 1st Class or upper 2nd Class undergraduate degree in a computer Science or a related discipline. For PhD degrees, Masters degree is preferred but not essential. We welcome applications from students who may not have formal / traditional entry criteria but who have relevant experience or the ability to pursue the course successfully. English requirement for non-UK / EU students is an IELTS score 6 or above.
