Analytical Bioscience and Drug Design

This course enables students to gain a systematic knowledge and critical awareness of current problems as well as new insights into the analysis of biomolecules. There is particular reference to drug design and discovery along with a comprehensive understanding of applied techniques and their current use in biomolecule analysis and drug design research.

Entry requirements

A degree, grade 2.2 or above, in any science-based subject. Appropriately experienced applicants will be considered in line with the university's accreditation of prior learning procedure.

Course modules

Modules include: Natural products, biosynthesis and drug discovery; spectroscopy and spectrometry; research and analytical methods; molecular modelling and drug design; dissertation.
