Safety, Health and Environment

This course enables students to cope with rapid social, technological and organisational change through promoting an understanding of relevant concepts. The course also develops students' critical and analytical powers in relation to safety, health and the environment.

Entry requirements

A degree, grade 2.2 or above, in any subject. Applications from students who may not have formal/traditional entry criteria are welcomed if they have relevant professional experience or can prove their ability to pursue the course successfully.

Course modules

Modules include: Risk: perception and management; techniques for environmental assessment and management; research and professional practice; control of infectious and non-infectious diseases; management of occupational health and safety; dissertation.
