Biblical Studies

Students on this course undertake the investigation of a topic of personal choice and present the results in a thesis of approximately 40,000 words (MPhil) or 75,000 words (PhD).

Entry requirements

Degree in theology or religious studies (preferably Master of art or Master of divinity) with a strong biblical studies component; competence in Greek or Hebrew.

Course modules

The general research areas supported by the faculty are: early Christian studies; history; archaeology and historiography; literary criticism and cultural studies.

Assessment methods

Assessment is by thesis.
