Entry requirements

MSc: A good 2.1 degree in economics with mathematics and statistics components. The University will also consider students with very good degrees in related subjects with strong economics, finance (not accounting finance), mathematics and/or statistics components. English language requirements: Overall IELTS grade of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each component, or equivalent.

Core modules Modern Finance; Corporate Finance; Macroeconomic Analysis; Econometric Methods; Asset Pricing; Monetary Economics. Examples of optional modules Applied Microeconomics; Applied Macroeconomics; Development Finance; International Money and Finance; International Trade; Public Economics; Public Policy Evaluation.

Assessment methods

Assessment is by coursework (including essays and project work) and examination.
