Finance and Accounting
This course brings together theoretical and applied expertise in finance and accounting practices. You'll gain a good understanding of the basics of financial statement analysis, corporate governance and international finance, as well as the quantitative and analytical skills essential for developing fundamental problem-solving skills. You can apply to base your dissertation on project work with an external organisation. Recent projects include group nominal structure for a multinational engineering firm, and developing a funding strategy for a Sheffield-based capital investment programme. MSc: Minimum 2:1 or an approved professional qualification. English language requirements: Overall IELTS grade of 6.5 with 6.0 in each other component, or equivalent.
Assessment methods include: individual assignments, group projects, end-of-semester examinations, and a dissertation.
