Social Work

This programme is approved by the Health and Care Professions Councils (HCPC) meaning you will be eligible to apply for HCPC registration as a qualified social worker in the UK upon graduation. The academic side of the course is rigorous and challenging. You'll develop a clear understanding of the theory. Through work placements, you'll become a confident, skilled practitioner. We're working in collaboration with the four local authorities in South Yorkshire to lead the way for social work education and are part of one of only four early-adopter national teaching partnerships. This means that you'll benefit from a social work curriculum that is enhanced by increased collaboration with placement providers and employment agencies. Please see our University website for the most up-to-date course information.
