This course focuses on the provision of highly advanced and technically demanding dental appliances and treatments. After training in research methods, you'll carry out a research project of your own and learn how to apply your findings in practice.
MSc: A degree in dental technology or a relevant subject such as biomedical science or bioengineering. 2 years' post-qualification experience and be able to demonstrate advanced technical expertise in the field; or equivalent recognised professional qualifications in dental technology. English language requirements: Overall IELTS grade of 6.5 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component.
Core modules: Dental Technology; Introduction to Digital Dentistry and Dental Manufacturing; Dental Materials Science; Scientific Writing and Health Informatics; Dental Laboratory Governance; Research Methods in Clinical Dentistry; Research Project.
You'll be assessed on written assignments and examinations, practical laboratory work and objective structured practical examinations (OSPE).
