Politics, Governance and Public Policy
This course explores the policy process across a range of regional, national and international settings, and equips you with many skills. You will develop a critical understanding of the relationship with the input and output dimensions of governance and policymaking. You will also acquire a detailed practical understanding of the political, economic and social drivers that shape the policy process.
Core modules: analysing the policy process; understanding politics; dissertation in politics, governance and public policy. Optional modules: democratic governance in the twenty-first century: problems, innovations and solutions; politics and governance of the European union; policymaking in the real world; the politics of global migration; wellbeing in politics and policy; 1 option module chosen from another course.
