This course will give you a good understanding of the fundamentals of human nutrition. You'll learn research skills and techniques. It will prepare you for a career in research, the food industry, academia, community nutrition and nutrition consultancy. On graduation, students can apply for direct entry to the UK Voluntary Register of Nutritionists (UKVRN) as Registered Associate Nutritionists (ANutr). MSc: You'll have a 2:1 degree in a relevant science subject. A 2:2 may be acceptable depending on the degree and your references. We also accept graduates in medicine. If your degree is not science-based, you may be accepted if you can demonstrate a sound underpinning knowledge in the biosciences, to meet the demands of the programme. English language requirements: Overall IELTS grade of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each component, or equivalent.
Assessment methods include: written reports, laboratory practical classes, group and individual assignments (which may involve oral presentations). There is a written examination at the end of some modules. The research project is assessed by a written dissertation.
