Advanced Aerospace Materials Manufacturing
You�ll develop the mindset and the technical skills to find solutions to complex problems through a series of training exercises including: group metals manufacturing case studies; modelling group work; industry site visits; total quality management; departmental and industry seminars. Upon completion of the course you�ll have the skillset equivalent to that of a MEng graduate in Aerospace Materials Manufacturing, enabling you to progress quickly to a position of responsibility and leadership.
A good Honours degree in materials, metallurgy, chemistry or a related engineering subject from an approved institution. For MSc Biomaterials and Regenerative Medicine, a good honours degree in dentistry or medicine is also acceptable. English language requirements- Overall IELTS grade of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each component, or equivalent.
Modules: aerospace metals; composites; metallurgical processing; industrial training programme; introduction to finite element modelling; advanced materials manufacturing: parts 1 and 2; technical skills development; heat and materials with application; research project of your choice.
Assessment is by formal examinations, coursework assignments and a dissertation.
