Dental Public Health
Develop an in-depth understanding of dental public health practice. Apply your understanding to the challenges in the delivery, planning and management of health services. You�ll learn how to critically analyse problems and find practical solutions that protect and promote oral health. A Distance Learning (DL) version of this course is also available. If you�re too busy for a full-time course, DL allows you to study at home via the internet.
A dental or medical degree, preferably with at least one year�s postgraduate experience. English language requirements: overall IELTS grade of 7.0 with a minimum of 6.0 in each component, or equivalent.
Modules: introduction to public health; dental public health: foundations and theory; health promotion; dental public health: application and critique; research methods in clinical dentistry; current concepts in dentistry; sociology of public health; introduction to statistics; dissertation.
Formal examinations, coursework assignments, dissertation.
