Dementia Studies

About 800,000 people in the UK are living with dementia. It's estimated that dementia costs the economy £23 billion a year. There is a growing demand for practitioners and decision-makers with the insight to tackle what is a major social challenge. This new MA helps to meet that demand. The course was developed by staff from the School of Nursing and Midwifery with colleagues from the departments of sociological studies and human communication sciences. The teaching team are academics and practitioners from dementia education, research and clinical practice.
