Ecology and Environment

Our MRes in Ecology and Environment provides a unique opportunity to learn from leaders in the field about the key environmental challenges facing humankind. These include ensuring provision of the ecosystem goods and services that the growing human population requires and maintaining biodiversity in the face of global environmental change.

Entry requirements

A 1st or 2.1 in a biology-related subject. Applicants whose 1st language is not English require an overall IELTS grade of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each component, or equivalent.

Course modules

Modules include: advanced trends in biology; advanced biological analysis; research and study skills in biology; tutorials; literature review; research project.

Assessment methods

Assessment methods include: coursework and dissertation.
