Statistics

This course prepares you for a career as a statistician. You'll learn how to solve practical statistical problems and develop personal skills including presentation and time management. This course is accredited by the Royal Statistical Society.

Entry requirements

A 2.1 Honours degree (or above) with substantial mathematical and statistical components or a pass at an equivalent level in the graduate certificate. Applicants whose 1st language is not English require an IELTS grade of 6.5 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component, or equivalent.

Course modules

Core modules: data analysis; statistical laboratory; linear models; dependent data; inference; sampling, design and medical statistics.

Assessment methods

Assessment is by exams, project work and a dissertation.

You may be able to get University and external company funding depending on your qualifications. We need to receive all funding applications by the first week in March.
