A 2.1 Honours degree or an equivalent qualification related to design in the built environment, such as architecture, landscape architecture or town planning. Applicants with professional design experience are encouraged to apply. A portfolio of work should also be provided. Students whose 1st language is not English require an overall IELTS grade of 7.0 with a minimum of 6.5 in each component, or equivalent.

Students are assessed on course assignments and examinations, design thesis and a dissertation.
