University of Sheffield

From the outset, you will work with communities on real design projects. In the studio, you will be encouraged to experiment and develop your own ideas with expert support from your tutors. Each week, you will spend around 7 hours in the design studio and another 8 hours in lectures, seminars and workshops. There is an optional 5-day field trip and a programme of guest lectures from some of the worlds leading practitioners. The MArch is validated by RIBA at Part 2 level and prescribed by the Architects Registration Board (ARB). To qualify as an architect, you will need to complete at least one design project and write a dissertation. Graduates work for architecture practices, regeneration agencies and research organisations all over the world. Some are inspired to start their own practices.
