Our flagship Masters course, the MSc Economics is flexible allowing you to choose modules in economics or finance whilst also giving you core analytical skills. This course prepares you for a career as an economist in finance, consultancy, the public sector or in research.
A good 2.1 undergraduate degree in economics usually with mathematics and statistics components; or students with very good degrees in related subjects with strong economics, finance (not accounting finance), mathematics and/or statistics components. English language requirements: overall IELTS grade of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each component, or equivalent.
Microeconomic Analysis; Macroeconomic Analysis; Econometric Methods; Applied Microeconometrics; Applied Macroeconometrics.

Modern Theory of Banking and Finance; Health Economics; Modern Finance; Development Finance; Asset Pricing; International Money and Finance; Industrial Organisation; Monetary Economics; International Trade; Public Economics;
Public Policy Evaluation.
Assessment is by coursework (including essays and project work) and examination.
