Information Systems (Professional Enhancement Programme)
Choose from 5 modules from a broad range of computing and information-related modules, such as Java and e-commerce, computer security and forensics, human�computer interaction, information systems in organisations and Information systems change management, including up to three independent study modules.
You'll need at least a 2.1 in any subject plus 12 months' relevant work experience. Applicants whose 1st language is not English require an IELTS grade of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each component, or equivalent.
Information systems modelling; information systems project management; professional issues; research methods and dissertation preparation; dissertation (MSc only); optional modules: students choose 2 computing-related modules from a range covering Java e-commerce to HCI and graphical interfaces; 4 information-related modules from a range covering information systems; the Information society to e-business; e-commerce; and including up to 3 independent study modules.
All our courses (except the distance learning options) include lectures, seminars, tutorials, practical laboratory classes, group work, online discussion, case studies, lectures by visiting speakers and visits to library and information service organisations. You'll be assessed on essays, reports, small projects, presentations, posters, group work and a research-based dissertation.
