Information Systems (professional enhancement programme)

Choose from 5 modules from a broad range of computing and information-related modules, such as Java and e-commerce, computer security and forensics, human-computer interaction, information systems in organisations and Information systems change management, including up to 3 independent study modules.

Entry requirements

A 2.1 in any subject plus 12 months' relevant work experience. Applicants whose 1st language is not English require an IELTS grade of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each component, or equivalent.

Course modules

Modules include: information systems modelling; information systems project management; professional issues; research methods and dissertation preparation; dissertation (MSc only). Optional modules: students choose 2 computing-related modules from a range covering Java e-commerce to HCI and graphical interfaces; 4 information-related modules from a range covering information systems; the information society to e-business; e-commerce; and including up to 3 independent study modules.

Assessment methods

Assessment is by essays, reports, small projects, presentations, posters, group work and a research-based dissertation.
