The department focuses on the theory and practice of journalism and news production, and political communication; staff have a wide range of research interests; currently research is centred around 4 major strands of work: the interplay between media, journalism and politics; the practice and pedagogy of journalism; convergence, multi-skilling and journalism practice; European media and policy.
Good undergraduate degree or equivalent professional qualification; preference is given to candidates who already have a Master's degree.
