Marketing Management Practice

This course is designed for graduates from any discipline. You become an Affiliate Post-Graduate Member of the CIM when you register. On graduation, you qualify for associate CIM membership. Once you have three years' marketing experience, you qualify for full membership.

We don't just teach the theory of marketing. There's a lot of emphasis on applying what you learn in a business setting. You can also apply to do a project-based dissertation, working with an external organisation. Recent dissertation projects include a branding review for a large law firm and working with a local, environment-led SME to study consumer behaviour.

Entry requirements

Minimum 2.1, or approved professional qualification. English language requirements: an overall IELTS grade of 6.5 with a minimum of 6 in all components

Course modules

Core modules: introduction to marketing; global marketing; contemporary marketing practices; marketing communications; international consumer behaviour; marketing research; service and retail marketing; branding; marketing in society; dissertation.

Assessment methods

Individual assignments, group projects, end-of-semester examinations and a dissertation.
